"Beyond Chemo Brain: Recovering After Surviving"
by Carol Devenir and Gail L. Denton, PhD
This new book, available February 2010, describes the journey of discovery of Carol Devenir, breast cancer and chemotherapy survivor. The unintended consequence of cognitive impairment (essentially acquired MTBI, mild traumatic brain injury) as a result of chemotherapy brought Ms. Devenir to journal her experiences of what is now recognized as 'chemo brain' among survivors of cancer treatments involving chemotherapy.
Further, she denotes suggestions for recovery from mild brain injury to include resources for her readers. Her co-author, mild brain injury authority and author of "Brainlash: Maximize Your Recovery from Mild brain Injury", third edition, Dr Gail L. Denton, PhD, provides editorial guidance and support for Ms. Devenir's search for answers and recovery of her cognitive talents.
